Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and Jeeves (“Jeeves,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) and govern your access to and use of our websites, applications, and related services (the “Services”). By creating an account, or by accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
The Services are offered in beta: they are under active development, may change or contain errors, and may be modified or discontinued. Features marked “coming soon” are not yet part of the Services.
1. Who we are
Jeeves is building personal AGI — an assistant that learns how you work and acts on your behalf. The assistant can hold conversations with you, read and summarize your email and calendar, draft replies, keep track of tasks and the people you correspond with, accept voice input, and prepare and carry out certain actions with your approval.
2. Account creation and access
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Services. You agree to provide accurate information, to keep it current, to keep your login credentials confidential, and to notify us at hello@easya.io if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account, and for the third-party accounts you connect to it. If you use the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind it to these Terms.
3. Use of our Services
You must use the Services in compliance with these Terms and all applicable laws. You agree not to, and not to allow anyone else to:
- use the Services in violation of any law or regulation, or to infringe the rights of others;
- use the Services to access, process, or send content you do not have the right to, or to send spam, malware, or unlawful, deceptive, harassing, or harmful content;
- reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, or attempt to extract the source code or underlying models of the Services, except where this restriction is prohibited by law;
- use the Services to build a competing product or model;
- bypass, disable, or interfere with the Services’ safety, security, rate-limiting, or human-confirmation controls, or use the Services to take actions you are not authorized to take;
- resell or sublicense the Services, or use them other than for your own personal use; or
- rely on the Services for decisions where inaccurate output could lead to harm or financial loss without independent verification (for example, securities or financial trading).
4. Inputs, Outputs, Actions, and Materials
“Inputs” are what you provide to the Services, together with the content Jeeves accesses on your behalf from accounts you connect (such as your email and calendar). “Outputs” are what the Services generate for you, such as answers and draft messages. “Actions” are steps the Services take for you. As between you and us, you retain the rights you hold in your Inputs, and we assign to you our rights, if any, in the Outputs generated for you.
The scope of what Jeeves can do is deliberately limited:
- Email and calendar are read-only, and email is draft-only.Jeeves reads your messages and events for context and, where you enable it, writes draft replies into your Gmail Drafts. It does not send, delete, label, or otherwise modify your email, and never sends a draft on its own — sending is always something you do.
- Actions that cost money require your confirmation.Where an Action incurs a real charge — for example, requesting an Uber ride — Jeeves prepares it and presents it to you, and it is carried out only after you explicitly confirm. A confirmed ride dispatches a real vehicle and charges your connected payment method. You are responsible for Actions you confirm and for the charges they incur.
- Voice. If you use voice features, your audio is sent to a third-party speech provider to be transcribed and synthesized.
Outputs may not always be accurate, and Actions may not always do what you intend. You should not rely on, send, or confirm any Output or Action without independently confirming it is correct and appropriate. Jeeves assists your judgment; it does not replace it.
We process your Inputs and Outputs to operate, maintain, secure, support, and improve the Services. We do not use your Inputs or Outputs to train artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models. Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Feedback
If you send us feedback or suggestions about the Services, we may use them for any purpose without any obligation or compensation to you.
6. Subscriptions, fees, and payment
We may offer some or all of the Services free of charge during the beta, and may introduce or change fees in the future; if we do, we will make the applicable pricing available to you before it takes effect, and paid plans may renew automatically until cancelled. Where you have a statutory right to cancel a paid subscription within a set period, that right applies. You are separately responsible for charges incurred through your connected third-party accounts (for example, Uber fares for rides you confirm) and for any applicable taxes.
7. Third-party services and links
The Services let you connect third-party accounts and may link to third-party content. Your use of any third-party account or service remains subject to that third party’s own terms, and we are not responsible for third-party services or for unauthorized access caused by your failure to secure your credentials. You may disconnect a connected account at any time from within the Services.
8. Content moderation
We may review, and may remove or restrict, content or activity that violates these Terms, infringes the rights of others, or could cause harm, and we may suspend or terminate access in those cases. We will make reasonable efforts to give notice where appropriate, except where doing so is not legally or operationally feasible.
9. Software
We may provide client software (such as web and mobile applications) as part of the Services and may update it from time to time without notice. Where any component is provided under a separate open-source or third-party license, that license governs in the event of a conflict with these Terms.
10. Ownership of the Services
The Services, including all software, models, designs, and other materials we provide (excluding your Inputs and Outputs), are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Services for their intended purpose. We reserve all rights not expressly granted.
11. Disclaimer of warranties, limitation of liability, and indemnity
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any Output will be accurate, reliable, safe, or legally compliant.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims relating to the Services will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the Services in the six months before the claim or one hundred euros (€100). Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for your non-waivable statutory consumer rights.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Jeeves and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your Inputs, your use of the Services, your connected accounts, the Actions you confirm, or your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.
12. Data portability
You can request a copy of your data, and exercise your privacy rights, as described in our Privacy Policy. Where applicable law gives you a right to data portability, we will provide your data, or assist in transferring it, within the timeframes required by that law.
13. General terms
We may modify the Services and these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes to these Terms, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where feasible, give you reasonable advance notice. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. You may stop using the Services and delete your account at any time. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any terms presented for specific features, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Services. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remain in effect; our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver; you may not assign these Terms without our consent, while we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets; and provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
14. In case of disputes
These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter, are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the courts of Ireland have exclusive jurisdiction to settle them — except that either party may seek injunctive relief to protect its intellectual property in any court of competent jurisdiction. If you live in the EEA, Switzerland, or another jurisdiction whose mandatory laws give you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts, nothing here removes that right.
